CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The
municipal mayors in the province of Pampanga yesterday agreed to allocate at least
one percent of the internal revenue allotment for the anti illegal drug campaign by their
respective law enforcement authorities.
Apalit Mayor Jun Tetangco said
that the intended funds will be used by the police for anti-drug operations.
“Yung iba pa ngang mayors sobra
pa dyan ang ibinibigay sa mga pulis para sa peace and order at kampanya laban
sa droga,” he added.
However, Tetangco stated that
there will be another meeting with all the mayors in the province to finalize
the proposal to ensure the success of the campaign against illegal drugs.
“Yung hepe ko, sobra dyan ang
ibinibigay ko. Lagi akong larga sa kanya,” Sta. Ana Mayor Rommel Concepcion
stated.
Meanwhile, Arayat Mayor Emmanuel
Alejandrino said he would support the proposal as the same would benefit their
constituents and the town in general,” he further noted.
Floridablanca Mayor Eddie
Guerrero suggested to Governor Lilia Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis Pineda to
provide counterpart funding to widen the operation on illegal drugs.
“Kung magbibigay kami ng isang
milyon, pwedi ba tapatan din ito ng isang milyon ng kapitolyo,” Guerrero
stated.
